If use one word to describe yesterday’s spring concert in my daughter’s daycare, it’s ‘wonderful’.  If use one word to describe my daughter’s behavior in the concert, it’s ‘excellent’.So happy hour it was when we went to the daycare’s concert.

The first program of the concert is my daughter’s class program. It falls into six sections: dance of swimming; dance in a round; dance with a scoop toy; dance with two sticks, knocking each other; dance with a ball by every two kids; dance with a ribbon. At the end of the program, they left by waving the ribbon, amid the warm applause.

So wonderful it was, we watched the video together once and again in the evening. We hope there will be one time every month. But it seems impossible, even one time every season is better. But maybe two times per year is possible.

I forgot to record one thing: after concert, the daycare apply the snacks for all of us. We three Chinese family sat together, we made a appointment to take our kids go out side in a leisure weekend :)

Undoubtedly Canada is a great place for children to enjoy their childhood. For sure, your daughter loves her life here.

by the way, is it because of the itchy 7th year?

the relationship in the marriage is just like the situation of the world. war, peace; then war, peace again. only through the war, will people see how valuable the peace is. then why do not we keep peaceful all the time? it seems impossible, because some guy says it is joy to fight with nature, and also others.

For kids, Toronto Zoo is a good place to play. For me, it is a little tired after walking all day. But the kid’s happy is the source of our happy.

Last Saturday there were so many people in the zoo. When we got there at noon, the parking lot was already full. We had to park in another lot, several minutes later two parking rows were full too. The Toronto’s population is large.

If you have a kid, I suggest you to buy the annual ticket. It is about $130 per year. The times you go there is not limited. And you don’t need to pay extra fee for zoo small train, otherwise you should pay $8 per time. There are not only different animals but also animal show. Kids like go to the zoo once and again.

I did a very successful thing Yesterday ------I made the dried beef slices by myself :)  It’s very delicious. There is a unitary variety of snacks in Canada and the price is high. I am happy I can do it by myself, and I save a lot of money. Yeah! I used 3 pounds beef and made a lot of dried beef slices. I took some to the colleagues to have a taste today. If you want to the recipe for it , tell me :)  If you have other recipe for other snacks, tell me too :) Save more money, make more snacks. HeHe

Why I like cooking ? It depends on the situation in Canada.


We already have a Chinese stomach. It’s difficult to change now. I can not bear that every lunch is hamburger or hotdog or fried chicken without rice. And the food price is not low too, every time if you eat a combo, it cost about $6-7. So usually, I cook by myself. How to go with the different foods, how to try to avoid the microwave to heat them…..
It becomes one problem to me. I need to think about what food I should prepare for tomorrow noon. I should even think about what for tomorrow evening and the day after tomorrow when I have a linc class in evening. It drives me to learn more cooking.

In another hand, when the summer is coming, we can take potluck with friends or internet friends frequently. They made so many delicious foods by themselves. We will talk about how to make the snacks.
When we get home I can’t help to have a test. In fact, the cooking of dried beef slices is learned from an internet friend. I think it’s interesting to make some snack by myself. I want to make some muffins this weekend after I buy the food material from the supermarket.

Seems like my stomach is more adaptable to western food. To make things easier, I only take sandwich, hamburger or bread with juice for my lunch. At night, I cook chinese dishes by myself for the diner. Maybe things will change after my wife come.

good for you. that makes life easier. my son likes to eat western food. this morning we had noodles, but he insisted on his favorate burger. i cannot imagine what it is like if i have to eat western food everyday. it is necessary to learn cooking chinese food.

thanks. i don't like to cook, but if i think it is necessary to do it, i can do it well. so try your recipes and keep them, maybe someday i will learn from you.

Today I found a punishment to kids in the daycare.

When I sent my daughter to the daycare, I found a cried boy was taken to another classroom alone as a punishment. Oh, I think that my girl faced same punishment too. Rule is obeyed in such way. Proper punishment is necessary, but I hope it’s not too often to my daughter.

Right! Why not try? Western food is not that bad , at least it's very convenient.

Yes , some western food is better. In fact, I tried some vegetiables to eat raw now, such as carrot,celery(with some Chinese flavoring) and lettuce. It's not bad. At least it don't harm to a person in lunch time. But it is harmful if you eat the vegetiable which cooked long time ago.
Of course, most of the time I eat Chinese food, I like it.
