‘at least one must have some ability’, It’s just what I worried about. I have no such ability yet.


I used to be a teacher. it seemed no use to find a new job here. I want to study and get a license first. But my husband said even after getting the license, It’s hard to find a job too. Why not earn the money first since the boss gave me the chance. But I can’t get more experience because the job is too easy. Many times it’s nothing to do. Maybe the work opportunity the boss gave me just because he wanted my husband stayed here. It’s terrible to rely on someone else not myself.

No friends, no classmates here. I hardly recognize anybody except my husband. No other family members are here except my husband and my dear daughter. I have no skill of working. The work experience before became zero. Survive become a problem since I come here. It seems I can’t survive rely on myself.

In fact, I wait my boss firing me so that I can do something else. But I don’t know why he didn’t do this. If I talked it to the boss first, my husband will angry because he thinks it’s the best way we should take. He thinks I can study or do a project by myself when I have nothing to do in the work time. However, I have no idea what project I can begin just by my image. But I am not sure I can find a job after paying the money for study. I don’t want to quarrel it with my husband again.

If you were me, what will you do?

when dream comes into reality, i think first we should consider the reality. since you ask me for advice, i suggest you doing the present work first. at the same time you study english, and find a profession that you like and have the potential to do it well.

the past experience is not a zero. you have taken education and had some working experience. what you lack is just local experience and good language. so relax and figure out what you like to do first. don't give yourself too much pressure.

i also feel puzzled myself. i doubt if it is a good advice.

Even in China, if I begin another job, it'll be back to square one.(My linc teacher told me don't use
' back to zero' :)

The work experience before is not so useful for me. My boss didn't take a look at my resume because he knew I was a teacher before. He suggested me to get a license so that I can be a teacher again. But I want to try another way. For me, ten years for teaching are enough.

Maybe you are right. I have a job now. I should try to do it well. Although there is a signal that maybe I will be fired.

Anyway, one heart two prepares. If I am dismissed I begin to think about going to a college, I admire I can go to college, I can improve my English and I can have my classmates, friends. Otherwise, let me begin my career from the first job in Canada. In fact, I am happier to do the present job than to be a teacher.
Now I seldom think about work in my leisure time.

However, I used to think about the job such as how to teach, how to treat the students when I leave work. Teaching is not an easy job. There are so many students in a class, almost 60, from different families, have different characters. One family only has one child. Although most of them are lovely, but some are spoiled too much, some are cared too little, especially in a single family. Some times it’s easy to be angry.

Many people criticized the education in China include the teacher’s education method. In fact, many of my colleagues complained it too. But some times, they have no choice. It’s not decided by them. Lower salary, more work, being criticized by the parents or society. I don’t think it’s an easy job although it have two holidays every year.


I found two of my LINC classmates were teachers too. They come from different countries. But both of them changed their job before they moved in Canada. One said the salary was too low, another said he didn’t like teaching.

I admire the excellent teachers. They have instinct for teaching and put effort too.

I can understand you. In fact , I hesistaed for almost 3 years. Finally, it's only took several days to make a decison,to book the flight ticket and to pack.
To my opnion, It's no use to think about it too much. It's obvious for advantage or disadvantage. It's just give up it or not. Usually, once you begin the application,it's difficult to give up. Finally you can find the excuse to come here, maybe it take several days, maybe several years.
Don't worry too much about it. It's not so terrible. At least, I didn't met a person who regret to come here yet. Enjoy your life now.

Spring is so beautiful. I love it. I am very happy when I am on the way to work everyday.

Every garden is beautiful with different design because The householders invest a great deal of energy for their garden. There are so many different flowers in neighbor’s front yard. The fruit trees stretch the branches from the back yard, being in bloom.

Many trees are covered in blossom too. Peach trees, pear trees, apple trees…..And many other trees are in bloom but I don’t know their name. I didn’t think they would in bloom before until the spring come. They stand beside the road, with different colors flowers. So beautiful! I think the life is so lovely when I passed them.

The meadows dotted with little yellow flowers. There is a tree covered in red blossom somewhere. Even the bushes covered in blossom too.Never before have I liked spring so much. It doesn’t need go to the park to feel the spring. It is in everywhere. Every view is a picture. I like it.

I took some photos on my way to work. I want to share them with you. But it’s not a good time to do it in the company. I hope I can get internet in my home as soon as possible so that I can put them in the post. In another post about spring subject.

I am confused a little when I read the newspaper. Some new parents sent their little baby back to China. In the news, the amount is about 2000. Why?

If they can’t take care of their baby in day time, they can send him to daycare.  If the income is low, maybe below 60,000 per year, they can apply the subsidy. The government will pay for daycare. If the salary is high, it doesn’t matter to pay the daycare fee. So I am confused why they had to send their baby back. Maybe there is some thing else I still can’t image it.

But the time you stay with your child is limit. To him/her, parents are his/her whole world when he/she is very young.  He/She need the parent’s care. They begin to recognize the world, it need parent’s guide. I think it’s very necessary to give the children parent’s love when they are young.

In fact, to me, maybe I need my daughter more than she does. It’s so happy to watch her growing up. It gives me strength when I face the difficulty. Every day there are new discoveries from her, she can speak a new words, she can singing, she can concern you……I am happy when she is happy.

I always think the time passed so fast. When she grows up, she will have her friend, her lover. She can do all the things by herself… When I think about it, I will cherish the time more.

yes. you r right. it is treasure to grow with the child. but some people have their own choice for some reason. parenting is really a hard job.

I came to think of one reason.  Applying subsidy need both parents working or studying(college, LINC, ect), otherwise the goverment think you can take care of your baby, don't need send to a daycare.  Maybe they want to find a job first but it need time. So they sent their baby back first. Once they find a job, then baby can be with them. I think it's very hard to make this decision but some times have to face the reality.

Maybe  they have strong wishes that  their child can  learn Chinese well in China.....or the other special reasons. it is not our business.
any way,I hope all our children live  better  than us in the  future.

Yesterday is my English day.

In the morning, I was so happy when I saw so many flowers in the garden or on the trees, I wrote a diary about it first. Later, I saw a piece of news I was confused a little, so I wrote another diary. I over fulfilled the task yesterday. Yeah!

In the afternoon, I found my application about the internet have some problems. I talked at least one hour by phone. It’s the longest English call I have. First, I called the sales asked the matter. Second, I called another company asked the reason for delivery late and made sure they would deliver it today. Last, I talked with the technical support twice about the stuff of dryloop (because I didn’t have a telephone in home yet). Two persons have two different answers. Finally, the bad news is I had to wait to next Thursday, It’s already full speed. Almost half a month, what speed it is. Good news is four persons helped me to improve my poor English.

In the evening, I went to the LINC class. Too many vocabularies I couldn’t recognize them. I should remember the new words more.

Yes ,I hope so.

I think don't need worry that the children cann't speak Chinese. If we talk with them always by Chinese, they can speak it good. But maybe writing Chinese is a diffcult thing to them. It's not like English, if you can speak , you can spell it easily.

i understand what you mean. in fact, i have many friends and relatives who r teachers. and even i myself almost became a teacher as well. the society is a big pond, and everyone involved will be affected. be yourself and do what you can do. that is enough. i think you must have been a nice teacher.

I began the journal from April 16. It is almost one month. I used the tool to count the total words. There are 7986 words now. Yeah!

The first step, I can express my opinion to others easier by writing the diary. But my English is still Chinese English. I think the next step: I should read other articles more. To study how to use the words correctly, speak native English, not Chinese English. It will be a long period work.

On another hand, I should study more new words. Every day when I met a new word I write it down in my word’s note. But it’s not enough because I don’t pay more energy to memorize them again. I should read them again in the evening everyday. That’ll be better to increase my vocabulary.

Do you have any other good suggestions for me?

This weekend is long weekend. Victoria’s day. Have a good weekend!

The best way is learned from the articles.

You should find some good sentences when you read,then you can remember them or write down in you note. Later you can use them in your articles. Don't try to use complicated sentences. Be simiple and easily understood.

Also you can try to revise what you write before. When you can find some points that can be improved from your previous article, you will be on your way to write good English.

Now I write down the example sentences when I check a new word in the dictionary, but it's not enough. I should pay more energy in it.
