About Canadian’s attitude on Chinese, I have to say it is negative. Why?

The news here for Chinese are always negative. Some news are relating the facts but not exactly according to the fact. They like to add many negative things there. Sometimes you felt angry when you heard the news. However, the public don’t know it’s not the truth. They know Chinese just from the news.

The News about Chinese is always negative. Some of them are based on the truth but others are not. Due to more negative stuff being involved, you feel angry about that. While, the public think that is true because the News is the only source of information about Chinese.

I remembered a thing. The LINC teacher’s pen was not working. The first sentence he said is ‘Maybe it’s made in China’. Although he said it was a joke later. I don't think it is a joke.  In fact many Chinese products are not as good as other countries’. For example, I bought two pots at same time. One was made in China, another was made in French.  The French’s pot is much better than another one. But its price is much more expensive too.

I remembered one day in my LINC class, the instructor’s pen did not work. “Maybe it is made in China”, that is the first response he had. Later he said it was a joke. But for me I doubted it. To tell the truth, the quality of many products made in China is poor compared with the products made in other countries. For example, I had bought two pots at the same time before. One of them is made in China, and the other is made in France. The quality of French pot is much better than that made in China, however the price made in France is expensive too.

Some times I think it’s not worthy to do that. Damaging the natural environment, making a lot of pollution ……  Many things in the whole world are labeled ‘made in China’. They use them but at the same time they think Chinese products are cheap.

Some time I doubt about Manufacturing Factory Position for China. The reason is that the natural environment is damaged, and lots of pollution are made, etc. Right now tons of products around the world are labelled ‘Made in China’. Many people in other coutries criticize so many products are made in China, at the same time they use them due to the low price.

Sometimes our LINC teacher talked about Japan too. He showed respect when he talked this country. He said it was a great country. The country was so small and it was poor in resources. But the economic was in the top.

Our LINC instructor talked about Japan as well. His attitude is different compared with talking about China. His respect can be seen from his words. ’A great country! Small area and little resources exit for this country, but his economics situation is in top level around the world.’

Do you recognize the wild flowers or brushes in the following pictures?

I took them on my way to work. The wild flowers always remind me of childhood memories. It is something like I walked on the way when I was a child. Furthermore, it is more beautiful. I enjoyed the view and smelt the smell of the grass or bushes as I walked on the way. At that time I congratulated myself on immigration. My daughter can enjoy the view just like I did in my childwood, and even better. It's a good feeling because I am a new comer here. I might forget the feeling after I familiar the enviorment here. That's why I took the photos and wrote this journal. I keep this feeling in the forum.

I like Canada.

Children get fever from time to time because of erupting tooth or catching a cold, etc. Seeing a doctor or not is a problem here.

A net friend shared her experience to me. Her kid got fever on 1:00am one night. They went to the hospital and kept waiting the doctor until 6:00am. Later the doctor suggested them keeping the medicine which they already used. That’s all. After one night, the kid’s sickness was worse. They saw the family doctor the next day and got some anti-inflammatory drug, after that, the kid got over his illness. It happened in Toronto. Another net friend told me he just waited an hour because he lived in a town. The doctor was not so busy.

What will you do if the kid’s body temperature is almost 40 degrees centigrade. I searched the information in the internet. The answer of the parents in China are ‘Are you crazy, send him to hospital as quickly as you can’ ’ Are you the parents of you kid?’ etc.

Usually children get fever in night. Sometimes it seems better in the day time, however, the temperature raised again in the night time. It is difficult to decide if seeing a doctor at once or not.  If not, it seems danger. The collection drug in family can not work, the temperature is too high and fever last too long. Parents feel nervous very much at that time.

Knowing some medical science common sense is necessary, especially in Canada where seeing a doctor is not convenient.

You should prepare some Tylenol at home.

I took my son to Fredericton Hospital twice. Once we waited there 1.5 hours and met doctor. The pediatrician doctor just gave the regular check up for my son and then sent us home. Another situation is that we stayed in hospital about 2 hours and I asked the nurse twice. The nurse said my son's fever was not bad, only 39 degree. She had to arrange the muck sicker persons in priority. Finally we decided to go back home and had several drops of Tylenol instead.

Here the medical system is quite different form China.

Exactly. That's why we didn't go to the hospital yesterday.

My daugther's fever lasted for two days. She was almost 40 degree last night. Later we still stayed in home because we thought we would met the situation just like you met before.

We tried many ways such as feeding the medicine, rubing her hand and feet with the wet towel from time to time, putting the ginger wate into milk,etc. We were so nervous that she had so high temprature without sweat. Fourtunately, she sweated later.

Yes,there are a lot of positive aspects in Canada,such as we can share many public resources,better order of  traffic,neat and quiet community,and so on. But the medical system is really not good enough, sometimes it is worse than in some big citises in China. It was a big problem that I had ever hesitated whether I would come here or not one year  ago. Although,I am in Canada now,it is still a huge problem to me. I bless all of our family members not be sick forever.

Maybe it is heaven for pregnant women.hehe.

By the way,you'd better put some ice around your kid if she caught a high fever.The worst syndrome is tic when the kid got high fever above 40°for a long time,it can affect the brain cell seriously.It is very necessary to prepare some usefu drugs at home such as  Paracetamol .

Thank you for your suggestion.

Yes, I put some cooling gel plaster on her head when she got fever. I can't find it in the drugstor here. I took some from China. And friends who came here will help me take some.

The medical system here is not so good to us. But the people here is not so easy to get a sick. One of my friends, her son got sick frequently in China. He seldom gets a sick now. That's one of the reasons that she gave up her good job in China and chose to live here.
