Online Application
The 2009-2010 OSAP online application is now available. Return Home to log in to apply.
We strongly urge you to apply online as it saves you time, effort, and money. Just look at the benefits:

  • The online application on the OSAP website is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • It is quick and easy to use.
  • Your information is secure.
  • It has built-in "smarts" to help you to avoid making entry errors.
  • There is no application fee when you enter your application online.
  • You can get an on-the-spot estimate of the amount of aid you may receive.

Full Application
If you have never applied for OSAP you will have to fill out a full application. You may also have to fill out a full application if you have applied before, but are taking a new program and/or are at a new school. Regardless, the application process will be tailored to your personal situation and you will have to answer only those questions relevant to you.

Basic facts about applying:

  • Each application is about a specific program at a specific school. That means if you are interested in two different programs (even if they are at the same school), you must fill out a separate application for each program. The same goes if you are taking the same program but at a different school. The reason? Programs and schools may have different study periods and costs associated with them.
  • You can fill out an application before you receive notification of acceptance from the school you have applied to.
  • You can fill out up to 5 online OSAP applications for each academic year. More about multiple applications.
  • People other than yourself may have to fill out parts of your application. For example, if you are married or in a common-law relationship, your partner must provide personal and income information. More about who has to provide information.

Type of information spouse/partner must provide
Information that your spouse/partner must provide on your OSAP Full Time Application includes:

      • First and last name
      • Date of birth
      • Social Insurance Number
      • Postal code
      • Date of marriage or if in a common-law relationship, the date you began living together in a conjugal relationship
      • Ontario Drivers Licence
      • Date last attended high school on a full-time basis
      • Spouse’s status (employed, student, other)
      • Income information from his or her Canadian Income Tax Return such as total income, net income, CPP contributions, EI premiums, and total tax payable.

Getting Into the Online Application
  • First step is to Log In.
  • Never logged in before? Go to Registering for OSAP and set up your OSAP account and password.
  • Cannot get access because you have forgotten your password or locked out? Go to Getting Access Restored.
  • We have some technical requirements for using the online application. Check those out so that your application goes smoothly.
  • Select the right academic year:
  • We decide what type of application you get:
    • 2010-2011 application is for any program that starts anytime between August 1, 2010 and July 31, 2011.
    • 2011-2012 application is for any program that starts anytime between August 1, 2011 and July 31, 2012.
  • Renewal application – a shorter application available only to returning students.
  • Full application – the complete application.

Filling out the Application
The OSAP application is tailored to you - you answer only those questions relevant to your situation. This may mean that your family (parent(s) or spouse/partner may have to fill out a section. For example, independent students will be asked questions that pertain only to themselves, whereas married students will be presented with questions pertaining to their spouse or partner. Here is a list of who provides what.(同上)
The online application system will not accept incomplete or incorrect applications, so make sure you take the time to fill it in carefully.

Information You Must Provide

Over the next few pages you will be requested to provide information that will allow an OSAP aid estimate to be calculated.

You will need the following information:

  • The name of the school that you are planning to attend.
  • Information on your program of study, specifically the name of the program, study period start and end dates, as well as expected tuition and book costs.
  • An estimate of your income for the study period.
  • The current market value of your vehicle(s).
  • The annual gross income of your parent(s) (if applicable).
  • The annual gross income of your spouse (if applicable).

You need to fill out the application form correctly. If you have questions about the application, contact your financial aid office.
We recommend that you fill out the application online. You can also fill in a paper application, but it will take longer to process. Be sure you have all the information you need handy before you begin.
Once you've completed the application, you'll get an estimate of the amount of aid you could receive. Use this estimate to plan your school year.
You need to print out and sign the declaration and signature page from the application. We need a hard copy of this before we can fully process your application and release any of your aid.
If your parent (s) or spouse provide information on your application, they need to sign a separate declaration and signature page(s).
Paper Application
A paper application is available for printing by going to Forms.
The 2011-2012 OSAP Application for Full-Time Students (paper version) and Instructions are now available.
Where to Send Your Paper Application
When submitting your application and/or documentation to the ministry, please make sure that the envelope is addressed properly. You should consider sending the document(s) using a secure means (e.g., by personal delivery or registered mail).

    Students Studying in Ontario
Send your completed OSAP application and all documents to the financial aid office of the institution you're planning to attend.
    Students Studying Outside Ontario
Send your completed OSAP paper application form, all documents and a completed Program Information form to OSAP. You must ensure that your return address is printed clearly in the upper left corner of the envelope.
Students studying at McGill University or Concordia University in Quebec
You must submit your completed OSAP application and all documents directly to the financial aid office at that institution. You don't need a Program Information form.

Declaration and signature page
When you apply for OSAP you sign a declaration and signature page to indicate your knowledge of and consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information for the purposes of administering OSAP. Specifically, you agree to:

  • the collection and use of the personal information that you provided on your application form;
  • the ministry obtaining information about your credit history from a consumer reporting agency;
  • the ministry obtaining information from your income tax returns from Canada Revenue Agency;
  • the ministry obtaining information on your Social Insurance Number, name, date of birth, and gender from the Social Insurance Register, Human Resources and Social Development Canada; and
  • the release of your personal information to a third party (e.g., a parent) as named on your OSAP application (optional consent).
You also make a declaration that indicates your knowledge of your role, responsibilities and obligations.
If you indicated that you consent to the release of your personal information to another person(s), you are then required to sign the Applicant's Consent to Release Personal Information.
Go to Student's Consents, Instruction, and Declaration for a full text version.

    Determining Your Eligibility
On the full application (renewal applicants get to skip this step) you will provide your institution, program, study period, and current status information and we will determine if you, your program and/or school are eligible for OSAP purposes. At this time, we also check to see if you are restricted from applying for and/or receiving OSAP for any reason (e.g., you have too many overpayments).
    Deadlines
It is very important that you pay attention to all of the different types of deadlines. There are deadlines to submit your application, deadlines for documents that you must provide, deadlines for information from your school, etc. A missed deadline is a missed opportunity and you could cut yourself off from getting the most aid.

Student Restriction
You may not be eligible for OSAP because of the following situations:
  • You have defaulted on the repayment of a Canada-Ontario Integrated Student Loan, Ontario Student Loan, Canada Student Loan, or a student loan issued to you by any other jurisdiction in Canada. Go to Repaying Your Loans.
  • You have not repaid a loan, a grant or a bursary overpayment.
  • You have not met academic progress requirements.
  • You provided incorrect information when you submitted your OSAP application.
  • You are convicted of a criminal offence involving fraud or theft under the Criminal Code (Canada) with respect to any student financial aid program in Canada.
  • There was a significant variance in the income you reported to the Canada Revenue Agency and the income you reported on your OSAP application and/or any other income reported by you to the ministry and/or your financial aid office.
  • You have been restricted because of Bankruptcy, Consumer Proposal, or Consolidation Orders under the Orderly Payment of Debts.
  • You are receiving other government assistance that covers expenses related to your postsecondary studies. If you are receiving other government assistance that covers a portion of your expenses (e.g., Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) or Ontario Works (OW)), you must check with that agency about receiving benefits and OSAP at the same time. For further information, contact your ODSP or OW caseworker or the agency from which you are receiving benefits.
  • You have failed a credit check.
  • You are in receipt of Ontario Debt Reduction in Repayment.

OSAP Application Submission Deadlines
In order to be considered for OSAP, you must submit your OSAP application by the following deadlines:
One-term Programs (12 to 20 weeks in duration)Your application must be submitted/received within the first 30 days of your study period.
Two- and Three-term Programs (21 to 52 weeks in duration)Your application must be submitted/received no later than 90 days before the end of your study period.
Application Submission Penalties for Two-and Three Term ProgramsThe deadline to submit your application (see above) determines whether or not your application is even considered. Depending on when you submit your application within this deadline will determine the time period for which you are assessed for aid:
      • If you apply within the first 45 days of your study period, your aid will be calculated for your entire study period.
      • If you apply after the first 45 days of your study period (but no later than 90 days before the end of your study period), your aid will be calculated from the date your application was submitted/received to the end of your study period.

Documentation Deadlines

To be eligible for OSAP, you must submit your supporting documentation by the following deadlines:
One-term Programs (12 to 20 weeks in duration)Your supporting documentation must be received by your financial aid office (or the ministry, for students planning to attend postsecondary institutions outside Ontario) within the first 30 days of your study period.
Two- and Three-term Programs (21 to 52 weeks in duration)Your supporting documentation must be received by your financial aid office (or the ministry, for students planning to attend postsecondary institutions outside Ontario) no later than 90 days before the end of your study period.
Supporting documentation received after the deadline date(s) will not be considered, and the release of your funding may be stopped.

Processing Deadlines

As well as application deadlines and supporting document deadlines, there are other important processing deadlines that you should know about.
The Confirmation of Enrolment form must be received and processed by the ministry no later than 30 days before the end of your current study period.
You must also negotiate your loan/grant certificates by the appropriate deadline. The deadline date to negotiate your loan/grant funding with the National Student Loan Service Centre (NSLSC) is 30 days from the date your school signs your loan/grant document and releases it to you. The deadline date to release loan/grant certificates to students is 21 days before the end of the student’s study period.
Some bursary, grant, scholarship and fellowship programs have their own deadlines. Among these programs is the Queen Elizabeth II Aiming for the Top Scholarship. To see what the deadlines are for the program you're interested in, check out the individual bursary, grant, scholarship or fellowship program.

Submitting Your Application and Determining What’s Next
Once you've answered all the required questions, submit your application. If you don't hit submit, your application will be saved until your next visit to the site.
Before you hit the submit button, review the summary to make sure all the information is correct. You can change it later but it's a lot of work – you can't edit online and you'll have to provide documentation to support the changes.
Also note any deadlines for full-time applications and supporting documents.
    Types of Documents
To support your application, you'll need to send in documents from official or legal sources that can confirm a fact(s). This may be a document from a provincial government agency, an affidavit, or signed document from an organization such as your school. You must provide it in the format requested.
    Where to Send the Documents
If you applied using the OSAP full-time or part-time application, all documents must be submitted to your school's financial aid office To help us update your file quickly and accurately, please include your full name and Social Insurance Number (SIN) or OSAP Access Number (OAN).
Deadlines for full-time applications and required documents
For full-time students, all documents must be provided by the following dates:
        • One- term program (12 to 20 weeks in duration) – Your documents must be received by your financial aid office within the first 30 days of your study period.
        • Two- and three-term program (21 to 52 weeks in duration) – Your documents must be received by your financial aid office no later than 90 days before the end of your study period.

After You Submit

    Declaration and Signature Pages
We must have physical signatures on file to show that you have read and understood your responsibilities. You do so by signing (in several places) your Declaration and Signature Page. If someone else (Parent, Spouse/Partner) provided information on your application, then he and/or she must also sign a separate declaration and signature page(s). All declaration and signature pages are personalized and can be printed once you submit your application. Important: we must also have all signatures on file before we can release any of your aid.
    Estimate
What you have been waiting for – how much aid you will get. Use the estimate to help plan your school year. Remember, it is only an estimate and may change if we get information from other sources or if there are changes in your situation. If you don’t want to apply yet, but would like an idea on the amount of aid available, try the Aid Estimator.
    Review of your Application
When we receive your application we check it over to ensure that all your information is complete. If there's an issue, your application will be put on hold until the issue is cleared up. We will let you know what you have to do. You may need to provide new information and/or documents.
You can check your status online. It's a good idea to do this to monitor progress and make sure everything is on-track.
It's very important to make sure you let the Ministry and/or your financial aid office know about any changes to your situation once you've applied for OSAP and while you are receiving OSAP. Changes to your family situation or income may affect your eligibility and amount of your aid.
Changes can also come from other sources, such as your school, the National Student Loan Service Centre or other government agencies, or as part of the verification process.
Anytime something on your application is changed, your application will be evaluated to ensure your information is complete.
    Information from Your School
Your school must also provide program information and costs, such as program start and end dates and tuition fees.
For public colleges and universities, this process is automated, and so there is nothing you need to do.
If you're going to a Private Career College, then the ministry will send a request to your school to get information. It's a good idea to follow up with your school to make sure they send what's needed as you're ultimately responsible for making sure this information is provided.
For a school outside of Ontario, you need to fill out the top part of a Program Information formand send it to your school for them to complete the rest. Your school can send it in to the ministry or you can. Again, you're ultimately responsible for making sure this form is completed and received by the ministry.
    Confirmation of Enrolment
Before your aid can be released, you and your school must complete a Confirmation of Enrolment form. This is a personalized form printed by the ministry. It is used:
        • by you to update your income information,
        • by you and your school to confirm your study period information, and
        • by your school to confirm that you have registered for and begun classes.
Because this form is personalized with your information, it is printed by the ministry. Once completed, the process for releasing your aid begins.
How to Get Your Confirmation of Enrolment
      Students Studying In Canada
Your Confirmation of Enrolment form is printed and forwarded to your financial aid office just prior to the start of school. However, you can't pick it up from your financial aid office until you have registered and begun classes. Check with your financial aid office for more information.
      Students Studying Outside Canada
Your Confirmation of Enrolment form is printed and mailed directly to you by the ministry. The ministry mails it (and your funding certificate) a few weeks before your classes are scheduled to begin. Be sure to keep your address up to date.
How to Complete Your Confirmation of Enrolment
On your Confirmation of Enrolment form, you must review the income information that we have on file and indicate any change to that information. It's important to understand that any change that you provide on this form will be updated on your file and used to reassess your application. You also must sign the declaration.
Your school must confirm your enrolment by updating and signing the Confirmation of Enrolment section. Your school will forward the form to the ministry. If you are going to school outside Canada, you are responsible for forwarding the form to the ministry.
Deadline Date for Confirmation of Enrolment
The Confirmation of Enrolment Form must be received and processed by the ministry no later than 30 days before the end of your current study period in order for you to get your aid.
    Verification of Your Information
We check the information on your application. Information you reported on your application and information we get from your documentation or an organization such as the Canadian Revenue Agency must be consistent.  If there is any difference, your application will be placed on hold.  You'll be asked to provide an explanation and may also have to supply supporting documents (e.g., vehicle appraisal) to substantiate your claim.
What we verify for full-time applicants:
Social Insurance Number and Personal Identification Information
Your Social Insurance Number and basic personal information (first and last name, date of birth, and gender) will be verified with the Social Insurance Registry at Human Resources and Social Development Canada. Generally this happens as soon as your application is received and before any aid is calculated.
    Your Credit History
If you didn't receive a loan last year, we'll do a credit check. If you've been 90 days in arrears on three or more personal loans or credit accounts, each with a value of $1,000 or more, within the past three years, you may not be eligible for aid. Generally this happens as soon as your application is received and before any aid is calculated.
    Vehicles and Ontario Driver's Licence
All vehicle registration and Ontario driver's license information is verified with the Ministry of Transportation. We also verify the fair market value of your vehicle(s) with the Ministry of Finance. If you're married or in a common-law relationship, the value of your spouse's or partner's vehicle(s) is also verified. Generally this happens as soon as your application is received and before any aid is calculated.
Income with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA)
All income information is verified with CRA. If there's a discrepancy between the income reported on your OSAP application and the income information received from CRA, we will use the income information from CRA to assess or reassess your application. If there is a significant variance between the income information, you may become ineligible for any further aid. Income is verified at different stages depending on whose income we are verifying.
The effect of a discrepancy may also be different. This table will help illustrate different scenarios:

    Income
    Conditions
    Tax
    Year

    When verified
    Effect of a discrepancy
    Spouse or partner's income
If you're married or in a common-law relationship
    Previous tax year
As soon as application is received.
Generally verification is completed before aid is calculated. In this case, the income amount from
CRA is used in the calculation of aid. However, if aid has already been calculated, your application will be reassessed.
    Parent's income
If the ministry considers you a dependent student
    Previous tax year
As soon as application is received.
Generally verification is completed before aid is
calculated. In this case, the income amount from
CRA is used in the calculation of aid. However, if aid has already been calculated, your application will be reassessed.
    Student's income
    All students
    Current tax year
Approximately one year after you apply (because we have to wait for you to file your current year's income tax return.)
Your application will be reassessed using the income amount from CRA. If the income you reported to CRA is higher than the income you reported on your OSAP application, the reassessment may result in an overpayment.

    Provincial Social Assistance
We work closely with the Ministry of Community and Social Services to ensure there is no duplication of aid. If you're receiving OSAP aid in addition to income support from Ontario Works or the Ontario Disability Support Program for the same time period, you must contact your social assistance caseworker to report your OSAP aid.
    Check Application Status
    Check Status Yourself
The best way to find out about your application is to log in and check your status on this website. You can find out:
        • Application status - where your application is in the processing steps
        • Checklist - things that have to be done before you can get your aid
        • Documents you have to provide – keep track of what you have to do
        • Amount of aid - amount of loans, grants, bursaries and/or scholarships and when they’ll be available
        • Help - who to contact for additional help
    Notification from OSAP
PaperOn your application you can indicate that you want paper notification from the ministry. This option is also available after you submit your application so you can change your mind at any time. Please note that this option covers all applications you have on file.
      Email Reminder
If you don’t want paper notification and provide us with your email address, we’ll send you an email whenever anything changes on your file. The email won’t contain any personal information – you’ll need to log on and check your status to see what’s changed.
Please provide a secure, private email address that is only accessible by you.
If you submit an online application, status information is generally available within five days. If you submit a paper application, it takes four to six weeks after submission for updates to appear on the OSAP website.
Having Someone Else Check Your Application Status
The Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act doesn’t allow OSAP or your financial aid office to release information about your application to anyone other than you - unless you tell us to.
If you want someone such as your spouse or parents to check the status of your application, then use the Consent to the Release of Personal Information section of your application to tell us who that person(s) is.
The consent applies to all information contained in your OSAP file for the academic year you’re applying to and all prior academic years. The consent expires on the last day of the sixth month after the end of that study period.
You can change the consent information at any time. To do this, you need to forward a signed letter to your Financial Aid Office indicating the following:
        • who you wish to give access to and/or who you wish to remove from your list of authorized person(s)
        • name of the person(s)
        • date of birth of the person
        • your Social Insurance Number
        • the academic year
        • date and signature

Who is Eligible?
To find out if you are eligible, fill out an online application form.
You must meet certain citizenship and residency requirements. A complete list of requirements can be found in the A to Z List of Programs.
To receive aid, you need to attend a school that is OSAP approved.
To find out if your school is approved, go to School Search. Public colleges and universities, some private career colleges and some out of province and out of country schools are approved for OSAP. You need to check each year if a school is approved.

Your Program Must be OSAP Approved
Most programs at public colleges and universities are approved for OSAP. When you fill out an online application, the ministry checks that your program of study is approved. If the program isn't approved, you can't get OSAP.
You must meet certain eligibility requirements such as citizenship and residency. A complete list of requirements for each program can be found in the A to Z List of Programs.

You May Not Be Eligible for OSAP
If you defaulted on a student loan, did not repay an OSAP overpayment and/or provided false information on your OSAP application, you may be restricted from receiving OSAP.
Other reasons you may not be eligible for OSAP include:

      • You have not met the academic progress requirements.
      • You've been convicted of a criminal offence involving fraud or theft under the Criminal Code (Canada) with respect to any student financial assistance program in Canada.
      • You've reported a significant variance in the income to the Canada Revenue Agency from what appears on your OSAP application and any other income reported by you to the ministry or your financial aid office.
      • You have declared Bankruptcy or Consumer Proposal, or Consolidation Orders under the Orderly Payment of Debts.
      • You're receiving other government aid that covers expenses related to your postsecondary studies.
      • You've failed the credit check.
      • You are receiving Stage 2 of the federal Repayment Assistance Plan.
      • Your file is being reviewed for other reasons.
If you're not eligible now, contact your financial aid office to discuss how you can become eligible.

Getting your aid
If you applied as a full-time student, you get your financial aid from your financial aid office after you have completed your confirmation of enrolment. You either get a cheque or a funding certificate, depending on the type of aid.

Authorizing Someone Else to Get Your Aid
If you want someone else to get your aid for you, then you need to provide the National Student Loans Service Centre (NSLSC) with Power of Attorney forms. You need to complete and submit the following two forms:

You will only need to submit these forms once for each academic year, regardless of the number of funding certificates you may get. These forms are specifically designed to assist with the release of OSAP funding and can’t be used for any other purpose.

Studying Outside of Canada
If you’re studying outside Canada, then your confirmation of enrolment, a fact sheet and your funding certificate will be mailed directly to you. Log in and go to Check Status to find out how much aid will be given to you, and when it will be released.

Funding Certificate

Understanding the Funding Certificate
The funding certificate is a legal form used to authorize the release of aid to you through the National Student Loans Service Centre. The official name of this form is Certificate of Loan/Grant Approval and Eligibility. The funding certificate is printed by OSAP and lists each aid program and the amount you are receiving under each program. It also includes a declaration section that you must sign. By signing the declaration, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions.

Getting Your Funding Certificate
You can pick up your funding certificate from the financial aid office at your school. This office can't release your funding certificate to you before the disbursement date on the certificate and it can't be released after your study period has ended.
Before the funding certificate can be given to you, you need to show the following:

      • Proof of your Social Insurance Number.
      • Your Social Insurance card (a legible photocopy is acceptable)
      • An official Government of Canada document that indicates your Social Insurance Number (e.g., a Canada Revenue Agency Notice of Assessment, a Canada Pension Plan Statement of Contributions, or a Confirmation of Social Insurance Number from Service Canada)
      • One piece of valid photo ID issued in Canada by the federal or a provincial or territorial government (a legible photocopy of the front and back is acceptable).
Examples of acceptable ID are:
      • Valid driver's licence
      • Canadian passport
      • Provincial health card with photo
      • Permanent residency or citizenship card
The following documents are not acceptable for OSAP purposes:
      • Student ID cards
      • T-4, T-4A, T-5 documents
      • SIN card not issued by the Canadian government (e.g., those which can be purchased from independent vendors)

Issues that Prevent the Release of Your Funding Certificate
If there is any change to your study period information and/or your marital or financial status after the funding certificate was printed, the financial aid office can't release it to you. It must be returned to OSAP. Once your file is updated, a new funding certificate will be issued.

Lost Funding Certificates
If you've lost your funding certificate, you should discuss your situation with your financial aid office. In most cases, you will need to complete a Request for Duplicate Documents form to have a new funding certificate printed.

Completing Your Funding Certificate
Your funding certificate must be completed by you and your school. Ensure you:

      • Attach a voided cheque to the "Student's Deposit Information" section of the funding certificate in order to have your funds deposited directly to your account. If you don't, a cheque for the amount of your aid will be mailed directly to you.
      • Sign the funding certificate in five places.
      • Keep a copy for your files.
Your school must:
      • Confirm your enrolment by completing and signing the Confirmation of Enrolment section of the funding certificate.
      • Indicate if a portion or the total amount of your aid is to be paid directly to the school in order to cover tuition fees or any emergency loans given to you (known as assignment of funds). Your signature is required to authorize this redirection of funds to your school.

Arranging for Release of Your Funding
Once your funding certificate is completed and signed by you and your school, take it to a designated Canada Post outlet nearest you. If a designated Canada Post outlet is not accessible, call the National Students Loans Service Centre for further instructions.

Designated Canada Post Outlets
Find a designated Canada Post outlet nearest you. If a designated Canada Post outlet is not accessible, call the National Student Loans Service Centre for further instructions.

National Students Loan Service Centre Kiosk
A kiosk will be set up at most public universities and colleges in Ontario during registration. You will need to show your Social Insurance card (or any other Government of Canada official document that indicates your Social Insurance Number) and one piece of government-issued photo ID to provide proof of your identity.
Your aid will be deposited into your bank account, generally within 1 week of the date the funding certificate is received by the National Student Loans Service Centre, or within one week of the disbursement date on your funding certificate, whichever is later. The Canada and Ontario portions of the loan, as well as the Canada Student Grants, may be deposited at different times, so you should monitor your bank account regularly.
If you don't arrange to have your funding certificate funds electronically deposited, a cheque(s) will be mailed directly to you within two weeks of the date that the funding certificate is received, or within two weeks of the disbursement date on your funding certificate, whichever is later.
If you have submitted the funding certificate and have not received the funds in a timely manner, contact the National Student Loans Service Centre directly to confirm the status of the funds and appropriate next steps.

Deadline Date
Your completed funding certificate must be received at the National Student Loans Service Centre within 30 days of the date on which your school signed the document. As well, the funding certificate must be received before the last day of the month of your study period end date, as printed on your funding certificate, or it will be deemed invalid.

Second Release of Aid
Generally, OSAP aid is not released all at once. Part is released when you register and begin classes and the rest is released at the start of your second term. For most students attending an Ontario university or college, typically this is in January.
