是的,第二语言,孩子选的是法语。艺术他的钢琴是8级。
大多数国内来的孩子选的是汉语,经考试也可折算5学分。
这是他的英语作业里对人物的分析:
Character Description Paragraph — Mr. Poorwilly.
Mr. Poorwilly is not the catchiest character in W. D. Valgardson’s story “Bloodflowers”. As a matter of fact, he is trivial and almost invisible in contrast to his wife, Mrs. Poorwilly. He is a character foil of Mrs. Poorwilly. However, from the few places where Mr. Poorwilly is mentioned, we can still see that he has some interesting characteristics that may influence the development of the plot. The first impression he gave us is that he is small and “his hair [is] so thin and blond that from ten feet away he look bald.” (1) Then, Mr. Poorwilly showed us his sensitive side: he sensed Danny’s uncertainty and quickly reassured him by telling him that “Mrs. Poorwilly’s a good cook.” (1) Another of his important features is that he absolutely believes and obeys his wife. He believes the superstition of the bloodflowers just because “Mrs. Poorwilly says it.” (2) I believe that in nature he’s also a kind and religious person, and the anticipated Danny’s murder might seem brutal to Mr. Poorwilly. He’s a Christian because at Sick Jack’s funeral, “Mrs. Poorwilly [holds] the Bible so Mr. Poorwilly [can] read from it.” (4) And his immediate response to Danny’s brutal story is “They weren’t Christians.” (3) All in all, he’s a sensitive but sometimes weak person and he reminds me of Mathew Cuthbert in Anne of Green Gables by L. M. Montgomery. I believe that although he doesn’t approve the anticipated murder of Danny, he will do nothing to stop it. |
