[求职就业] 加拿大金融职场的交流

实际上,目前在加拿大从事金融行业的华人不在少数,特别是今年大陆移民的大规模登陆,对于工作人员的普通话的需求不断增长。大多数的华人从业人员集中在中级和初级职位,当然有高的,如RBC的副总。
他是特例,我这里讲的是有助与移民回归本行业的一些建议。
   银行的part-time工作也不少,part-time转full-time的机会较多的。但是有一点,先多练练语言,首先要基本听懂,包括电话,否则,客户也会认为你不专业,有时还会犯大错。
  现在银行内的sales和客户的工作不少,但基本都是entry-level, 如果你想从事,就应该顺着 customer service representative \financial service representative \fiancial planner\personal banking officer\senior pesonal banking offier 的路子来走,至于要求,查查银行的job discription 对着做就可以了。首先声明,虽然我现在在从事金融业,但是也是entry level 的职位,也是在摸索的走。大家集思广义,争取有更多的同胞进入这个行业。
  申请银行的 resume最好让业内人士帮忙看一下,做一些修改,这样有针对性。
  虽然受金融危机影响,年底有一些招聘的职位在减少,但是冬天来了,春天还有远吗? 你要有所准备!

金融业估计在两三年内缓不过来,经济危机影响最大的当是金融业,而且这次危机影响范围之大、影响程度之深远远超出了人们的想象。还算幸运的是,加拿大的银行系统相对封闭而且稳健,受波及不大,但找相关工作难度不小。即使已经在位置上的金融业人士,哪个不是人人自危?个人观点,说说而已。

银行的工作环境好呀,俺是比较喜欢跟钱打交道的,

可惜是学错了专业,欲入无门了

对了,MBA能在银行从事什么工作?

这里是不是专业资格证书比MBA 吃香?国内没有那么多的行业资格,MBA就很吃香。有的公司在招聘时甚至说明非MBA不用。

谢谢楼主分析,我就是金融行业的员工,过去后希望找个对口工作,哪怕是低级点也行,不知加国金融业哪些岗位好应聘些,另外金融行业中IT岗位好找工作吗?报酬如何?

有个专业本科学历(工作又是这个范畴的)再加一个mba,特别是好学校的mba,比较吃香吧。

"专业资格证书比MBA 吃香?国内没有那么多的行业资格,MBA就很吃香。有的公司在招聘时甚至说明非MBA不用。"这个不能一概而论。应该说有个本地的专业资格证书更有利于得到当地业内的承认,而不是说吃香。至于MBA,主要看你申请的是什么职位。如果说中级或者初级职位的需求,这个条件的要求还是比较少的。至于说高级职位,还是有一定要求的。但是大家基本都是刚移民过来,如果没有外资银行经验,语言能力一般的话,刚开始申请高级职位的可能性较小。至于“有的公司在招聘时甚至说明非MBA不用"感觉有点像国内的招聘要求。

如果你语言能力较强,参照首贴的内容努力就可。金融行业中的IT岗位需求较为一般,报酬也相当于业内的平均一下的水平,但工作较为轻松,因为很多是维护工作。(要知道,加拿大金融业的从业人员收入处于一般水平)。但是如果你水平较强的话,IT 工作不难找的,不一定非要局限于金融业。

Hourly salary for customer service representative could be more than 20 dollars or not?

depend on your   experience.

generally hourly rate is about 12-17 +benefit
