eg 2. The party will be starting at ten o'clock.
(Meaning: The party organizer has made the plan for what time the party will start. The door of the room can be surely open at ten o'clock sharp.)
eg 3. Trevor and Laura will be cleaning the house tomorrow. They always do it on Sunday.
(Meaning: The couple, Trevor and Laura, has given up a trip to Las Vegas, or whatever, but decided to do something different, such as cleaning the house. Hence, you can find the couple right in their house at that time.)
eg 4. A: How long will you be using this computer?
B: You can have it in a minute.
(Meaning: I can see that you're using the computer right now. You may continue to use it for a while because you have had a plan or an arrangement on your mind for how long you're going to use it. When I ask you the question, I'm sure that you'll continue to use it or your using the computer will continue in the time to come, from my point of view. ) |
