很多年以来，有好多人请我帮他们或她们写英文征婚广告甚至英文情书，因为据他们说，我写的广告三天之内就吸引了七十多个老外的回复。十年前，由我替写英文广告和情书的两个女士都嫁到了国外，不过其中一个已经离婚。
近日一位女博士也请我给她写英文广告，于是有了下面的几行文字。短短两小时便有了23封回复，其中还有好几个帅男，几分钟前又冒出一个美国大学教授。这个女博士开玩笑说：找到一个大学校长或系主任，我们所有人的工作也都搞定了。
I'm a Chinese woman currently in my final stage of completing my doctoral program in Vancouver. I'm in my 30s, youthful, elegant and shapely, and love to dress to kill. I play several musical instruments, sing Chinese folk songs, and love indigenous Hawaiian and Yunan dances. I'm a native of Sichuan, and so make pretty authentic yummy spicy Sichuan food. In my spare time, I enjoy having a nice and hot cup of earl grey at a cozy bar, observing local chicks and guys chatting, boozing and laughing. I love walking on the beach, watching the lighthouse and sunset, meditating and letting my thoughts flow. I love strolling through art galleries and museums, and crying in the cinema watching movies like Titanic.
I'm looking for someone who can be a soulmate, who may share my hobbies and interest and who may find in me good company, someone honest, down-to-earth, loving and caring, someone who cherishes and believes in true love. You should be 35-45, well read and well bred, fit and healthy, willing to embark on an intellectual and soulful journey with a woman who is ready to get onboard.
