提醒新移民同胞在考电工牌时注意事项（实用转贴）

本人作为一名早几年来的老移民，向新朋友们提个醒。在各种各样的考牌培训班中，千万不要相信那些”一个月保过，不过退款“之类的宣传广告。

在选择学校缴款时请仔细阅读他的附加条件，诸如须本科毕业，一年内连续考三次不过等条件。初到加拿大，大多对加拿大不够了解。由于急于找工作，不惜资金投入参加学习。结果是你的钱进了作广告者的腰包，你要得东西却没有得到。你的钱打了水漂后方明白，在他的附加条件下，你根本就拿不到退款。

现在本人作为电工班老师告诉你，就拿学费300加元计算。如果你去政府考试，每次考费是100加元，考三次共300加元。如三次你没统过，你就没有了考试资格。这300元我们不讲。在这一年花费的时间给办班者充当人气，你的损失绝非300加元。即使你拿到300元退款，那你的损失则太惨。

所以，本人建议新来的朋友，首先放下架子，适应新的环境。先找个简单工作，边作边学习，积累加拿大的经验。等你对加拿大有所了解后再认真选择你追求的目标。

一般讲，做非专业工作一年再作选择。那时你会发现你的英语水平大增，社交圈扩大，你的判断能力将是惊人的。祝你在加拿大生活愉快，事业发达。

1. 需要一封您的主管（雇主）的推荐信,证明您有5年以上的电工工作经验，需要有公司抬头的信笺/包含公司名称。可以是中文，但必须有翻译件。
Letters from current or past employers,written on company letterhead,which give the company name, address and phone number; exact date od employment or number of hours worked, position title and a complete description of job duties.
2. Trade certificates,deplomas（不是电工专业的也行，但是要相关，大部分的课程修过）,or licences.
3. Official school transcripts from your training. You should also privide a detailed list of nthe subject coveredn in each course and the length of each course.
OR
4. A letter from a union letterhead giving the same information.
OR
5. Apprenticeship documents from other provinces or countries specifying the duration of the apprenticeship.

Social Insurance Card and a Photo ID is required for the assessment of your documents.

Application->evaluation-> temporary licences->writing test(100$)-> full licences
There is no cost for the evaluation and temporary licences. The fee for writing any exam is 100$.(cash,check,VISA, MasterCard,Interac).

2、如果不需要公证，学习成绩表是不是要学校盖章的原件？

你最好带一份经过教育部认证的学历证书和成绩单，无论是用于这里的学位认证还是上学都会缩短时间。推荐信是不需要公证的。推荐信只需要提供复印件，联系电话最好根据需要另外提供。
另外，到加以后有两件事要尽快办：申请加入省的工程师协会和技术员协会。各省的名称都有所不同。对找工作是有一定帮助的。
