PAYING IN CHINESE YUAN (RMB)
Payment in Chinese Yuan may be made by cash at a Visa Application Centre (VAC), by Chinese Postal Money Order (PMO) for applications submitted by mail to the Canadian Embassy, or using China Unionpay debit card for applications submitted directly to the Canadian Embassy.
Chinese Postal Money Order (PMO) in Chinese Yuan must be for the exact amount made payable to the "Immigration Section of the Canadian Embassy". Your name (in Chinese characters and in pinyin) and date of birth (dd/mm/yyyy) should be clearly marked on the PMO. A clear photocopy of your PMO receipt must be enclosed with your application as proof of fee payment. Applicants who wish to use a postal money order (PMO) to pay the processing fee MUST submit their applications by mail. Do not use a password when purchasing your Chinese PMO.
DO NOT SEND CASH BY MAIL. Cash is not an accepted method of payment.
PAYING IN CANADIAN DOLLARS (CAD) Payment in Canadian dollars may be made by international certified cheque, international bank draft, international postal money order.
International certified cheques, international bank drafts and international postal money orders in Canadian dollars must be in the exact amount and made payable to "the Receiver General for Canada". They must be valid for one year and must be negotiable through a specified Canadian Bank branch. The Canadian Embassy cannot accept cheques, bank drafts, or postal money orders made payable to "the Canadian Embassy" or "the Immigration Section of the Canadian Embassy". Applicants who wish to use a bank check to pay the processing fee MUST submit their applications by mail.
