Even for Limited Companies? Strange!
FCH 发表于 2010-4-8 03:36
I found it strange as well. The banker's explanation is some years ago (not sure how long exactly) as it was very easy to open a company in Quebec, a lot of people opened a company, bought a lot of stuff, got away with merchandise without paying the supplier. Then the debt was on the company, and the supplier could not do anything about it. This was very bad for the economy, so they modified the law later so that the debts are personal engagements even for limited companies.
This is what my banker told me, but I don't remember now if it was when I opened the bank account or when I asked for the credit card. |
