张仙，闲云，咨询滑铁卢的CS和ECE的问题

张仙，闲云，有问题请教两位前辈：刚才去看滑铁卢的网站，发现CS和ECE对英语的要求差别蛮大的，为什么呢？是因为CS偏重于科研ECE偏重于应用？还是其他的原因?例如两个的就业情况差别很大？另外还有个问题，多大既然有好几个校区，哪一个才是本部呢？各个分部于本部有什么区别吗？谢谢答复阿！

CS偏重于coding，所以英语要求较高，Electrical Engineering偏重于宏电，应用的成分大的多。至于就业，各有千秋，因为就业方向不太一样，所以难以笼统的比较。

UT３个校区，Downtown的是主校区。

博士就是博士呀，果然博大精深

稍作补充：滑铁卢大学成立于1957年，该校的电子工程和精算专业非常突出，在北美有很高声望，其它专业只能算是马马虎虎。综合实力上，同多大、McGill、UBC等还有很大差距。

目前的经济形势下，估计电子工程和精算专业的就业状况应该不会太好，不过2、3年以后应该会好些，呵呵。

弱弱的再问一句：Computer science和Electrical and Computer Engineering (Software Engineering)是不是都算电子工程方向啊？也就是说都是滑铁卢的拳头专业?
