我们俩人表达这句话的意思的角度不同。你的意思是说“我们学过的英语知识有限”，强调的是学的少；而我想说的是“我们虽然学过英语，但驾驭英语的能力有限”，强调的是运用、驾驭困难（因而，就难以很好地教孩子英语）。

I think that some somsentens in artical below has some mistake,do you think so?
ex:
Jack is supposed to read an english language book every evening for about 20 minutes. He is to (why don'use the words: should?) read this english language book by himself. No one reads to him during this time(of course, you may read to him as much as you want at other times.) After he reads, please initial the box (the day that he reads ) so I know he is reading (may be use that: he has read?) at home.

第一，是be to do sth,意思是说将要干某件事情，还没有干。可以用will或者be going to do sth代替。

第二，这里的进行时是一种状态，是说他在家时是读书的状态，你不能理解为他已经读了多少书。

有时候美式英语用得比较活，这又根据上下文的意思才能判断用词是否正确。

不知道这样解释是否清楚？

that american old teacher gave a homework to my son,a reading book with some picture.yesterday, I told a chinese staff, I am chinese ,I teach my son reading the book at home, my pronounciation is not good, and there are some new words in that reading book, my son dos'nt know that,I suggest that the americ teacher read the english language book first,then my son reads according the teacher's pronounce after back home. I received a letter above from the teacher.
I don't why?

应该是让你督促JAck学习，老师家长相互配合，令郎的英语想不好都不行！
