In 2000 the average annual earnings for all workers in this occupational group were $35,100. The average annual earnings were $44,900 for meteorological technicians, $33,100 for geological and mineral technologists and technicians, and $29,300 for applied chemical technologists and technicians. For those who worked full-time for the whole year, the average earnings were $46,100, which is about the same as the average for all occupations in B.C. Among those within this occupational group, full-time, full-year earnings for geological and mineral technologists and technicians were the highest at $48,200, and were lowest for meteorological technicians at $41,700 . A recent college graduate outcomes survey indicates that graduates who found work as chemical technologists and technicians earned an average $32,000 per year for full-time work.
