Breakfast class

Nov. 17, 2006

Had a breakfast class today starting from 8:15.

The professor needed to catch a flight later in the morning, so three weeks ago she was asking to get the class started 1.5 hours earlier. Students didn't buy her idea until she offered to have coffee and pastries to wake us up

She lived up to her promise. We had coffee, tea, bread, muffin, cookies, etc. These however didn't help much. I still got good lost in the class when she talked about the 14th Amendment of the US Constitution...

the point is this is a democratic country. a dean cannot ask her students to get up 1.5 hours earlier in the morning merely because she wants to catch a flight after the class. there should be some justifications to do so
