Birthday

People in my age sometimes tend to pretend ignoring their birthdays because birthday is a day on which others, by saying "happy birthday", keep reminding you how fast time is flying and how soon you are getting older. So I was trying to conceal my birthday to my new friends and classmates here. But in my heart I was hoping that I would have a real happy day on my birthday today.

It's 11 pm now. My day ended up being a happy day because nothing unhappy happened. My classes today went pretty well. I was able to fix an appointment with my advisor for discussing class selection next semester. I also finished the reading for tomorrow's class. Plus I was once again flattered by a Korean classmate for my performance in the Dean's class yesterday. She even said she's going to use me as helpdesk for that course in the future :P

So that was that, not too bad. My birthday is gone now. Tomorrow I'm XX years old. I was thrilling when I wrote down this figure.

(Note: Sorry I cannot disclose the exact figure here. But if you read my old posts carefully enough you should have already known )

I was hiding at home at my birthday. And when I came back to the office the other day, many people reminded me and wondering how old am I. Our office posts a community calender every month in the kitchen and it shows people's birthdays in that month. But most people don't know other person's ages and just guess.

I have a friend who always says she is 18 years old when you met her. But she is really 69 years old ,indeed! It makes sense that she keeps a young heart forever!
