housewife vs. "househusband"

By saying Househusband, i mean husband who does not work outside but do household duties at home.

We were discussing the roles for husband and wife in one family. Traditionally, in China, husband should go out to work and make livings while wife should stay home to clean, to cook and to take care kids, etc. But as more and more women have better education, they have much more opportunities than ever before, sometimes they can earn more than their husbands do.

My question is: in Canada, how would local people think if wife and husband switch their duties defined traditiionally, say husband stays home and wife works outside. Would this be an issue at all?

There are many people now reversing roles,
Where women have taken a more dominent role in the world, economy, management of major companies, and in businesses that they have created on their own.

The males function in marriage as a partner, is changing throughout society, more slowly in some, but it is changing. The female is equal, is able to participate more away from the home.

There is much more time available for the woman, in todays society with the increase of knowledge, and technoligy.

Yes the male in some cases is at  home taking care of the children ,their upbringing, and being a more promenent part of the household.

I dobn't think there is a problem with either role, it is good to share those values.

as you can see, 19 out of 36 can accept the reversing roles, not too bad?

You know what, with this topic in mind, i just realized that the current and previous govenor of Canada are women!
