Sinead O‘ Connor 是一位很出位的女歌手，当初唱片公司想把她包装成一个金发碧眼的女歌手，她却愤而操剪把自己变成了一个光头女歌手，这不啻是对传统唱片业包装、运作的一个极大讽刺和挑战。此后她的不羁性格和标志性的大光头便成了她最大的特色，而她在电视上接受采访时当众撕毁罗马教皇肖像的行为更是把这种状况推向了极端。自出道以来她便一直是一位颇受争议的女歌手，也是我所欣赏的不多的几位女歌手之一 Am I Not Your Girl 专辑是一张爵士风格的唱片，风味独特，显示了她音乐理念中独特的一面，里面有不少翻唱的作品，包括40年代早期的 Why Don‘t You Do Right，还有电影《庇隆夫人》的主题曲 Don‘t Cry For Me Argentina。最出名的作品应该是那首 Success Has Made A Failure Of Our Home了，想必每个人都应该对这首歌的VIDEO非常之熟悉。然而最打动我的却是那首几近清唱的Scarlet Ribbons，伴着若有若无的风笛，创造出了一种难以表达的震撼力，它几乎可以触动你灵魂中最深的东西了
