Job Description:
IT IS NOT A TESTER POSITION. ONLY JAVA DEVELOPERS WHO WILL DO DEVELOPMENT ALONG WITH SOME TESTING WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE

Programmer Analyst/Test Specialist will report to the Head, Architecture and Planning or designate and work closely with the Lead Test Architect.
Find and document defects in software quality
Assess software quality
Prove the validity of the assumptions made in design and requirement specifications through concrete demonstrations
Validate the software product functions as designed
Validate that the requirements have been implemented appropriately
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the Test Lead in the development of the project Test Strategy and Test Plan
Identification of optimal implementation approaches for test objectives and requirements
Implementation of tests
Preparation for test execution
Verification of test execution
Logging of testing outcomes
Analysis and recovery from execution errors
Other duties as required.
MANDATORY SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

Must have proven experience in writing test plans, test cases, and test procedures/script sand executing integration and system tests for small to medium sized systems in GUI and non GUI environments
Intermediate to senior knowledge of Weblogic;
Strong experience in Java coding;
Experience in database design concepts
Intermediate knowledge of Oracle;
Knowledge and understanding of testing methodologies such as unit testing, integration testing, and system testing
Very good analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills;
A team player with a track record for meeting strict deadlines;
Knowledge of Government standards and I&IT trends would be a definite asset.
Good knowledge and experience in software testing approaches and techniques
Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills
