前面所说的求职准备包括简历呀,穿着呀都象一个产品一样包装。只有包装好了才能卖好价钱。别人看了才愿意买。至于面试等就象推销产品一样,产品就是你自己。有好的包装,好的推销技巧。应该说工作还是能找到的。我们初次来加拿大找工作。就象一个新产品面世一样。有自己推销和找代理推销两种推销方式。如果产品好,市场竞争力强,没有多少竞争对手。市场需求高那么肯定自己推销。我说的是相反的情况,而这种情况又是普遍情况。我不反对大家自己推销自己,相反,如果能成功地推销自己,可以节约被中介赚走的那块利润这就是我为什么提到要反复确定职业定位的原因。

关于中介的误区,兼谈好坏中介
评价一个中介的好坏标准,众说纷纭,有认为能在最短时间帮你找到工作的,有认为能最匹配你工作简历和就业兴趣的,还有认为工作职位多的。中介实际也是一个企业,评价好坏自然有很多指标。我想中介自己评价自己作的好坏标准恐怕只有1个。就是投入产出比也就是我们常说的他的利润是否最大化。大家都知道,作中介企业比较容易,没有特殊的行业限制,进入门槛比较低,管理费用不高。没有多少经营风险。但这也是中介市场竞争十分激烈,鱼目混珠的原因。因此,中介在激烈的竞争市场中采取了多种竞争策略。包括象给介绍人奖励的,象保证在一定期限内保证找到工作的,对应聘者免费登记,面谈,测试等包括培训等。经过长期的市场竞争,中介行业也形成了许多约定俗成的行规,象只象雇主收取费用,而免费向应聘者推荐工作,中介对应聘者的信用调查等。

所以我们应该摈弃如下的误区。
误区一:中介的服务必须是对应聘者免费的。
误区二:介绍成功收应聘者钱的一定不是好中介
误区三:中介都是骗子。尤其是华人中介
误区四:能找到工作的中介一定是好中介
误区五:中介还要从工作人员工资中提成
收不收应聘者钱,收不收介绍费,是中介企业的个体行为。是完全合法的。只是这种行为在激烈的中介市场中很难吸引到符合职业市场的应聘登记者。至于中介从工资中提成更不符合实际的情况。比如我们单位从manpower来的每小时工资居然比正式工还有高一点点。中介与用人单位真正比较的劣势不在工资上面,是为员工提供的福利方面包括有薪年假,年终分红,额外养老保险,医疗保险等等。从网上看来,大家对华人中介都颇有微辞。我个人看法如下:
大部分人主要是收介绍费还有不退费等,并且与洋人的中介比较如何如何。其实反过来仔细想想。这些抱怨有失偏颇。
我声明我不是为华人中介辩护,我刚来的时候去过中区唐人街的一个职业介绍所。根据我个人的经验我放弃了对他们的信任和委托,因为我认为他不是好中介,关于判断好坏中介我下面提及。华人中介作为企业在中介市场竞争中明显处在劣势的地位,工作信息量少,合同雇主也不多,利润含量高的职位也不多。这种情况下,他要赚钱,只有从应聘者身上弥补。同时,我们应聘者自己不知道思考过没有,就是自己的市场竞争力。如我刚刚开始说的一样,你个人这个产品在职业市场中的价位。不提高自己的市场竞争力,一味埋怨中介,不是理性的寻找工作的行为。所以,我的建议,擦亮眼睛,不要让不规范的中介欺骗自己。让市场竞争去淘汰不规范的中介。因为不但加拿大这个国家,就是所有的市场国家都是一样的。骗子多。市场国家除了法律的手段对付骗子外,更重要的是消费者要有一双火眼金腈。自己区别好坏。就象很多影片都在开始说本节目含有。。。请观众自行决策等。不要人人亦人。

很多方法可以判断好坏的中介
1所有的企业,都非常重视自己的商誉,中介也不例外。为了确定一个职位的schedule,kelly service居然1个下午给我留言5次,反复确认我avaliable的时间和保证上班时间。
2服务规范,包括基本的录用程序,遵守行业的规定,对应聘者礼貌,尤其是计算机管理。记得我建议多看不同中介的网站吗,不同中介的网站可以大概反应中介的质量。
3,距离雇主近,downtownBDC附近集中众多大型的顶尖的中介。其他包括yong/englinton.square one等商业办公集中的区域往往是中介集中的地方。
4,观察前台和其他应聘者,可以判断中介的质量。我不多讲,大家也明白。
5,能最大范围地挖掘你的能力。中介的服务人员非常重视交流。从交流挖掘你的能力来获最大的利润。所以要重视与服务人员的交流。比如我前面说过ROBERTHALF是北美首屈一指的财会类专业中介机构,它还有他旗下的ACCOUNTEPS都是新来者进入财会行业的首选中介。据说所有的Recruiters都有CPA或者CGA以上的.应该说他们眼睛非常厉害。你值多少钱。firstinterview基本他们都能估计出来。
6,能看出客户的增值潜力。这就是中介为什么欢迎年轻还有经常参加各种不同类型包括学校组织的job fair。
7其他的比如办公环境、广告投入量。招聘量,人员登记率等。不用一一而足了。
其实大家要多去几家中介。中介什么水平。进门就知道了。

中介工作的一些心得
抱歉,各位,长周末是我们公司最忙的时候。现在回头看论坛,大家讨论的主题还是找工作,有的朋友甚至提出游行的说法。现在谈对如何为中介工作,也就是我说的最后两个单元之一似乎有些不识趣。但我想作为一个主题还是有头有尾的好。所以我先写下来,等大家找到工作还作
参考。在我找的中介列表中,吃到闭门羹的估计80%以上,至于给脸色的估计都数不过来,我当时在北京还好歹是一个处长,每天被别人点头哈腰的习惯了。开始还真是不习惯,真有虎落平阳被犬欺的感觉。每天早晨起来,看了昨天自己的计划和实施结果似乎世界都绝望了。有时候,也颓废过,消极过,甚至为自己找不到工作编造各种理由。回想当初的那些阿Q式的解释,现在回想都觉得好笑。
后来一想。既来之,则安之。我没有后路可走,咬着牙。还是出了门。我当时的想法。我想主动比被动强,而且我英语不好。万一有机会别人来电话,还不歇菜。找工作是世界上最容易的生存发展方式,但也是最危险的生存方式。上天对每个人,每件事情都是公平的。虽然困难重重,但我可以负责地对坛子每一个找工的朋友讲,你们一定能找到工作。只要坚持,机会就会悄悄降临。就如当年我对自己的外出阿Q式的解释,现在回想都觉得好笑。如果设定找到工作为1的话,每次外出找到工作的概率为5%的话。我外出找20趟就可以用95%的把握找到工作。
在所有的为中介工作经历中,除掉没有得到assignment外,我最失败的一次是工作1个小时就让人家请回家了。最成功的就是通过中介得到了fulltime工作,最划算的一次是在家门口工作,小时工资居然比他们的parttime工资还要高。最不划算的是为一家中介工作1天后,扣掉交通,饮食费用1分没挣,还在家睡了1天。我说这些废话的初衷是,大家要珍惜每一次工作机会,开始的时候不要考虑划不划算,成本的观点,量入为出的观点是我们中国人的美德,但在这个陌生的环境里,很多观念需要改变。我想找工的朋友们都有过机会,可能在犹豫中,在盘算是否划算中失掉了,放弃了。象刚才我说的一样。找工作是世界上最容易的生存发展方式,但也是最危险的生存方式。找到工作,固然可喜,keep那个position也不容易。我总结自己的得失。和大家分享。

中介工作的一些心得介工作小窍门2
1,上班前
大多数中介都是采取电话通知的形式,很少有送你去上班地点(我仅仅碰到1次,后来才知道我是那个中介去雇主的第一个人)。所以电话通知的时候。以下内容必须没有任何纰漏。
上班时间(报到时间和开始工作时间不太一样)
上班地点(地址(注意问清st.Eor St.W).楼层。单元号
联系人,如何拼写。联系电话。
上面所有信息必须向你电话的人重复1遍。确认无误。 { 枫下论坛 rolia.net/forum }
如果时间允许的话,最好先去侦察1次。确认地址,还看看雇主职员的穿着风格。
2,上班第1天
实际上,吃什么,穿什么,干什么,说什么,是第1天主要的内容。第1天有很多的信息需要填充到大脑里。很多新的东西要记住。第1,吃,第1天我不建议带饭,除非他们事先告诉你可以带。lunchtime是你结识新朋友的好时候,可以一起外出找快餐店什么的,通过和老同事聊天可以得到很多信息。
第2,穿,原则是随大流。不要格格不入。先侦察雇主职员的穿着风格。每个人心里有数了。
下面是不太好的穿的习惯:
有其他公司logo的外衣。颜色鲜艳的,颜色浅的,正规服装里大陆服装和这里还是有区别的。最好在找工作是就买1-2套这里的衣服。
女孩子一定要化妆,我的朋友告诉我。加拿大女孩子不化妆就象被认为没穿衣服一样,感觉虽然有夸大之嫌疑。但观察发现还没有见得没有不化妆的非大陆女孩子。女孩子化妆必须化的部位是唇、眼睛、脸.男的主要是头发。还有身上的味道。要剪一个精神一点的头,要带口香糖随身,必要时候要买一点香水。裤子,袜子,鞋是男人穿衣的重点。
第3,干什么,基本接待你的雇主职员会告诉你的工作内容和办事程序,或者培训系统。因此准备1个笔记本是好的主意。基本上,你的中介知道你具体工作的内容。如果接电话的时候。中介如果有时间的话不妨多问几句。你告诉他因为代表中介工作,because im on behalf of you.i really want to do prorfessional work.他们应该告诉你一些tips的。
第4,说什么,我的建议是少说多干。我是基于我的实际情况。说多了。英语的缺陷容易表露,还有别人说的当地的话,当地的事情我们不见得什么都知道。等熟了。习惯了。相反要多说。找他们说。练英语,扩大人际关系。但涉及你工作内容的不要不懂装懂。要问清楚。如何开始你的工作,怎么工作。出现问题需要帮助找谁联系等等。

3,了解中介的工资发放形式。
在加拿大,雇主给雇员付工资有周薪制、月薪制和年薪制三种形式。
周薪制大多使用于服务行业,薪酬大多按小时计算,然后每周发放或者每双周发放。工资按周发,缩短结薪周期,每周对员工进行考核使员工的精神处于高度亢奋之中,从而提高劳动生产率。周薪制"是建立在小时工资的基础上的,其核心是按小时计算工资而与服务业相关的从业者大多按小时拿工资。实行月薪制,主要是强调工资的保障功能,年薪制,包括教授、政府官员、企业管理者在内的以脑力劳动为特征的许多职业都实行"年薪制",这与管理者所肩负的责任是一致的,因为他们需要从长远去考虑公司的发展,年薪于他们而言更相宜.在前面我提到过通用工种。实际上就是雇主容易考核,量化的职业种类。这些工种是中介的主要目标群,所以,中介的工资发放形式主要是周薪制。
中介的工资单与雇主的没有多少区别。主要内容如下:
1收入栏。包括rugular earning, shift premium earning vacation-4%, statutory holiday
有的工种还有,commsission, productivity pay等,
2扣减栏。包括CIT。FED TAX,CPP TAX,PROV TAX。EI
3实际收入栏。为第1栏减第2栏叫NET PAY 再下面就是中介公司的信息,地址
然后是你的信息。一般都这样写:
TO the accounts of your name,your addrss,your work unit.(一般是代码)date,
你的帐户类型,account number,deposit ammount.有的中介还加上一句NON-NEGOTIABLE或者any questions can be directed to your local office at TEL NO.
所有的中介工资单都大同小异。到年底的时候,中介也应该给你邮寄T4表。

你可以通过以下内容了解公司的企业文化:
公司希望你一天或一周工作多少小时?
公司怎样进行决策?你能自己做决定,还是要层层请示?
时时有人监督你吗?
公司要你加班吗?加班付工资吗?
如果你有家庭,公司对家庭很友好吗?公司给你时间照顾家庭发生的事情吗?
公司希望你随叫随到吗?
公司如何对待雇员?雇员被看成有价值的团队成员吗?
公司文化是等级分明还是平行结构的?

10,有机会要在雇主目前展示你的能力。
一个小例子,我们公司有一个键盘不工作了。super打电话给维修部门换但必须等到明天。break的时候我观察了一下应该是接口松了的缘故。告诉super并且帮他修好后。可笑的是他们以后有问题都叫我。
确实很多技巧可以在雇主面前表示。比如2-8原则。应该把精力用在最见成效的地方,所谓"好钢用在刀刃上"。
许多信件和表格都可以借助电脑,提前予以格式化,用时则只需几分钟就可输出。电子邮件的地址列表有类似的功效。
Do it now。许多人习惯于花费很多时间以"进入状态",却不知状态是干出来而非等出来的。请记住,栽一棵树的最好时间是20年前,第二个最好的时间是现在。
phone call.要尽量通过电话来进行交流,沟通情况,交换信息。打电话前要有所准备,通话时要直奔主题,不要在电话里说无关紧要的废话或传达无关主题的信息与感受。
tak it easy.避免争论。无谓的争论,不仅影响情绪和人际关系,而且还会浪费大量时间,到头来往注解决不了什么问题。说得越多,做得越少,聪明人在别人喋喋不休或面红耳赤时常常已走出了很远的距离。
relax.提前休息。在疲劳之前休息片刻,既避免了因过度疲劳导致的超时休息,又可使自己始终保持较好的"竞技状态",从而大大提高工作效率。

这里要提的是操作上的注意事项。
1,每个雇主都有自己的招聘系统。但大多数雇主都是内部先post职位和要求。具体做法是HRpost要求和职位包括薪水、福利、职位水平、具体要求等等。然后部门经理将多少个position通知每一个通过中介在雇主公司工作的人。你可以申请也可以不申请。
2,如果你申请了,雇主会要求你的简历、推荐信等材料。
3,关于简历、推荐信我前面已经说过。不重复。不过有两点比较特殊。一是简历里最近的工作经历应该写包括titel,duty等要和申请的一致只不过要提及是代表中介在这个位置上工作。二是推荐信,大部分雇主要求3个推荐人。我的建议是你的部门经理、你的同事、你的中介联络人。比较合适
4,同样,这个申请的职位需要面试。但我感觉是形式。因为你的工作信用通过在中介工作的那段日子已经建立起来了。对公司的文化、章程、规程、历史等已经非常熟悉。面试一般一次没有第2次。面试人员组成由HR和专业部门联合组成。时间一般有0.5个小时。
5,面试结束后一般都给你一个package包括。offer letter,employment agreement code of conduct
anknowlegement new employee information form,banking information from.personal Tax Credits Return Form,Resume,还有Benefits booklet, employee handbook.employee privacy policy booklet等等。一大堆。实际上就是应聘登记表最重要。
6,下面就是调查程序包括推荐人调查,学历调查,联络调查等等。具体2个礼拜。

1,放弃,象大多数中新移民那样。独守自己一亩三分地
2,继续说教。就学周星驰电影里面的那个唐僧。告诉大家这个如何如何那个如何如何。比如开始我的难题妙答系列等。或者有人问我就填上两句。
3,作些实事。可能这个风险最大。于我而言。时间是一个问题,还有我的经历毕竟有限满足不了大家的口味。于大家而言,众口难调,好心办砸事的例子屡见不鲜。
我个人这么看,就业市场就想战场一样,你不进攻。不占领。你的发挥余地就越小,回旋空间越窄。我一直企盼我们华人能在求职就业这个领域里有一个互助的机制、气氛、平台。大家前任帮后人。无论有偿的、无偿的。有了这个气候,大家从虚幻的网络里走出来,从自己的小窝里出来。打个招呼,说说心得。对每一个新老移民来说都是大有裨益的。 |
