Where should I settle down in Canada? To be frank, I know little about this huge country. The deepest impression is from Jack London’s story “Build Fire” in which a man was frozen in extremely cold Yukon. Getting rid of cold becomes my first criteria on choosing settling place. Also, I am not pursuing “successful career”. Entertainment and sport are more important for me. Therefore, I hope to choose a city: - A sport hub with plenty of skating, football, swimming, martial arts and other sports facilities.
- Reasonable house price.
- A small or medium city.
- Not colder than -15 degree in the coldest winter.
- Good kindergarten and schools.
- Relatively easy to apply citizenship.
- Oakville,Burlington,Hamilton and Kingston between Toronto and Ottawa in Ontario.
- Victoria near Vancouver.
- Calgary from Alberta.
- Halifax from Quebec
- Charlottetown from Prince Edward Island
Above are all small and warm enough. But from a small boxes on google map, I can hardly imagine living there. Hope I will learn more about them. Here is my reference: city temperature in Canada http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temperature_in_Canada |
