Rob Ford had dropped out of Toronto’s mayoral race quickly made headlines around the world.
The mayor withdrew his name from the ballot just before Friday’s nomination deadline and instead filed papers to run as councillor in Ward 2, Etobicoke North. His brother, Coun. Doug Ford, has signed up as a mayoral candidate in his place.
