Thank you for reaching out to us and for your interest in enrolling your son to a French track school. Before confirming if you son is eligible or not to attend a French speaking school here in Canada, you will have to show proof of our immigration papers to the district. Once this is done & when you arrive on Canadian soil, we will be able to determine if you son is eligible to attend a school within our district.According to Policy 321 (see attached document), based on the New-Brunswick education act, a child can attend a French school if :
- He or she has sufficient linguistic proficiency in French (this would be evaluated by the school, once you arrive in Canada) ;
- He or she has sufficient linguistic proficiency in either of the official languages (French or English) of New Brunswick ;
- He or she does not have sufficient linguistic proficiency in either of the official languages (French or English) of New Brunswick.
