OPERATIONAL BULLETIN
New Brunswick Provincial Nominee program
Business Applicant stream- Temporary Pause
SUMMARY:
The purpose of this Operational Bulletin (OB) is to provide information regarding the
temporary  pause of the  Business Applicant stream  of the New Brunswick Provincial
Nominee Program (NBPNP).  The Government of New Brunswick will no longer accept
new applicants to the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program Business Stream.  
This pause is effective as of September 6, 2013 and will remain in effect until further
notice.
All applications currently in queue will continue to be processed subject to the existing
eligibility requirements of the Program.  
ISSUE:
Due to changes in federal, provincial  and territorial  immigration programs the
Government of New Brunswick has been receiving an unusually large volume of

applications to the NBPNP Business Applicant stream, requiring the Province to take
immediate action to limit intake and to process applications currently in queue.


BACKGROUND:
As an economic program, the NBPNP, Business Applicant stream, selects, and
nominates, qualified business people from around the world who will own and actively
manage a business that contributes to the New Brunswick economy. All applicants
under this program must:
Be between 22 and 55 years of age
Have sufficient English and, or French language ability to actively manage a
business in New Brunswick.  
Have, at a minimum, been awarded a high school diploma for education
completed after junior/middle school and before college, university and other
formal training.  
Make a business trip to New Brunswick
Demonstrate knowledge of the business environment in New Brunswick
Have relevant, proven management experience
Demonstrate a personal net worth of $300,000CAD
Have a business plan of economic benefit to New Brunswick approved by an

official of the Government of New Brunswick

Make a commitment to live and manage a business in New Brunswick
Submit a signed copy of the Deposit Agreement and a conditionally refundable
deposit of $75,000 CAD, prior to nomination
