This FREE skating program is offered in partnership with The City of Calgary Recreation and Canadian Tire
Jumpstart. This program is for those with little or no on-ice experience. The main goal is to overcome
apprehension and begin working on skills such as balance and forward movement and/or to build on
introductory skills. Participants will be divided based upon skill level. A snack and group games are also
included.

Staff will be available during off-ice time to interact with the children and their families; this will provide opportunity to let families know about the Fee Assistance program and future opportunities to participate in recreation opportunities at a reduced cost. Participants will receive a voucher for a free pair of skates and hockey helmet from any Canadian Tire Store!
