Oliver Wendell Holmes said, "Life is a romantic business, but you have to make the romantic." It's a good point, really. Many of us remember our youth as the period when the world seemed most romantic, and that's probably because, when we lived without adult responsibilities, we simply had more hours and energy to devote to our relationship.
While we may never be as carefree as the younger versions of ourselves, this doesn't mean we have to sacrifice romantic. We just have to make time for each other. We're required to show up and do our best at our jobs on a regular basis, and our relationships deserve the same. It's our wealthy of family and friends that matters most after all. |
