Main duties

Employment requirements
A bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or in a related engineering discipline is required.
A master's degree or doctorate in a related engineering discipline may be required.
Licensing by a provincial or territorial association of professional engineers is required to approve engineering drawings and reports and to practise as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.).
Engineers are eligible for registration following graduation from an accredited educational program, and after three or four years of supervised work experience in engineering and passing a professional practice examination.
Supervisory and senior positions in this unit group require experience.
Additional information
Industrial engineers develop and implement organizational and management systems, and manufacturing engineers design production processes.
There is considerable mobility between industrial engineering specializations at the less senior levels.

我做过注塑和印刷两个行业的质量工程师。主要负责：制定产品检验标准，参与制定产品质量控制计划，产品流程图、FMEA等及控制和分析生产过程中产成品的质量。处理客户投诉。请各位好心人帮助我界定职业定位。谢谢！ 基本上属于manufactguring engineer的范畴吧。制定产品流程图，属于Develop flexible or integrated manufacturing systems and procedures 的一部分。
FMEA就是Conduct studies of the reliability and performance of production or administrative systems
相信在Quality Assurance过程中，也必然有Supervise technicians, technologists, analysts, administrative staff and other engineers的工作内容
作为QA，也必须参与到maintainancestandard, schedule的制定。哪怕你是push 相关的process engineer去做，也是一部分工作内容。

而manager主要指经理。
direct，意思是指导，领导。如果是技术上，还是focus在engineer比较合适以一些。 谢谢联通老时空！
又发现问题：我的劳动合同上的工作职位都写的是质量工程师，其中在一家公司作QA engineer, 另外一家公司作QC engineer, 而NOC：2141Example title中没有Quality Engineer, 只有Quality assurance(QA) engineer 和Quality control engineer. 并且当时的公司中质量工程师也未区分QA engineer 和QC engineer。

还有，Example Titles并不是Title List.
只是举例，而不是所有可申请的Title。需要关心的是你的main duty，而不是title MCS 请问工程师需要加拿大的认证吗？
