谢谢提供的信息，我大学学的药学，但没有作药剂师的工作，谁还能提供一些有关加拿大药剂师的信息，象移民过去怎样可以考注册药剂师，国内的教育算不算，还是必须重新去大学学习，需要多长的实习期才可以拿到药剂师执照，谢谢！回复: about pharmacist

如何在加拿大做药剂师：-------------------------------------------
In order to become a licensed pharmacist in Canada, you need:
[*]a bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from a Canadian University
[*]to complete a national board examination, the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (PEBC)
[*]practical experience through an apprenticeship/internship program
[*]a particular level of fluency in English or French
The profession of pharmacy is regulated on a provincial level. The provincial regulatory authorities are directly responsible for granting pharmacist licenses, assessing the competency of pharmacists and ensuring public safety. The Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Toronto has developed the International Pharmacy Graduate Program to assist pharmacists educated in countries outside North America to become licensed in Canada. A volunteer group of graduates from this program are available to guide colleagues on their journey to become licensed as Canadian pharmacists.
The Canadian Pharmacy Practice Programme is offered by the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. This bridging program is designed both to assist internationally-trained pharmacists obtain the competencies for practice in Canada and to help Canadian-trained pharmacists re-enter practice after a prolonged absence.
The National Association of Pharmacy Regulatory Authorities (NAPRA) was established in 1995 as a way to harmonize the activities of the provincial regulatory authorities. They represent the interests of the provincial authorities and serve as a national resource centre for all pharmacists. CPhA is actively involved on several NAPRA committees.

to FCHHi,I have just received my visa. my job now in China is comparatively better,but is depressed very much,and it is difficult for me to give up all I have had in my age.would you please tell me if I want to be a pharmacist in Canada, which city should I choose to land in, and in which cityis it comvenient to get a pharmacist training? thanks, and I'd like to know more friends here.

Hi, Lily516, if you have read some messages in this forum, you must know that many friends here were facing the same situation as you do now. They got good job and pay, nice house and car, and etc. before immigrating to Canada. If you want to make more friends, you can talk to them directly by posting messages here. This is the way I know them:-)
As for getting licensed as a Pharmacist here in Canada, I have to say I know quite less about it. The website I gave to you is basically where I got related info in this field. So I am sorry I can not give you helpful suggestion re. which city you should land first. You still have time to study the training opportunity for pharmacist, in fact, you can contact those training institutions directly asking them if you can apply their programs. As far as i know, it is quite hard to apply coz pharmacist is a hot job here.
