For driving with chinese driver license after getting G1

My understanding is that even if you have applied G1, u can still drive in ON for 60 days after boarding, right? Someone says that if u applied G1, u will not be able to drive with chinese driver license anymore. But I didnt see this from http://www.drivetest.ca/EN/licencing/Pages/Out-of-Country-Drivers.aspx
